Washbowl Compound (Modern Cabin)

The Washbowl Vermont Compound is a multi-building project to be built on an undeveloped parcel of land in Northfield, Vermont.  The project involves a main house and a guest house/library/work studio that will reimagine Vermont’s traditional outbuildings as modern forms with new uses.  The compound will be immersed in the landscape with immediate views of forest and a brook.  The design will be simple and paired down with a strong relationship to nature.  Buildings will have their own relationship to the site.  Structures will be linked with nature paths.
